Cheesesteak Sandwiches

These cheesesteak sandwiches are topped with our creamy Avocado Hot Sauce. The flavor combination is firery perfection!

Ingredients

For Meat:

  • 1 ½ pounds shaved beef, from the meat counter
  • 1 ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon butter

For Vegetables:

  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced thin
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced thin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

For Sandwich

  • 4 hoagie rolls, sliced ¾ through
  • 3-4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/3 cup HERDEZ® Avocado Hot Sauce

Directions

  1. Season beef with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
  2. Heat skillet to medium-high heat, add butter, then beef
  3. Cook 8-10 minutes, stirring every minute or two.
  4. Remove beef and set aside.
  5. In same skillet, add green and yellow peppers, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Cook on medium-high heat for 2 minutes.
  6. Add onions to skillet, cook additional 5-6 minutes.
  7. Lay hoagie rolls open-faced on sheet pan and spread mayonnaise on each roll.
  8. Add beef and peppers to rolls.
  9. Top with HERDEZ® Avocado Hot Sauce and cheese.
  10. Broil on high for 2-3 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
