Lasagna Enrollada Con Nopales

Two cultures on the same plate. Give a twist to the classic lasagna by adding our delicious DOÑA MARÍA® Nopalitos.

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 (30-ounce) Jar DOÑA MARÍA® Nopalitos, chopped
  • 8 sheets of lasagna
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup bechamel sauce
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated


  1. Heat oven to 400º F.
  2. In medium skillet, over medium heat, add oil, onion, and garlic. Sautee until translucent.
  3. Increase heat, add tomato, and cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add DOÑA MARÍA® Nopalitos. Cook for 8 minutes, and reserve.
  5. In large pot, boil water, add lasagna sheets and follow lasagna package instructions.
  6. Remove lasagna and place on a damp cloth.
  7. Add DOÑA MARÍA® Nopalitos mixture to lasagna and roll.
  8. In medium baking dish, pour tomato sauce until base is covered.
  9. Place lasagna rolls in baking dish.
  10. Top with bechamel sauce and Parmesan cheese.
  11. Place baking dish inside oven and bake for 20 minutes, until cheese is golden brown.
