Layered Taco Casserole

Layers of tortillas, beans, cheese, and ground taco meat make up our easy and delicious Layered Taco Casserole. The perfect family weeknight dinner!

  • Sour cream
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Chips


  1. Heat oven to 375°.
  2. Cook ground beef and onion in medium sauce pan over medium-high heat until meat is browned and onion is softened. Drain grease, if needed.
  3. Add CHI-CHI’S® Taco Seasoning Mix and follow instructions on packet.
  4. Stir in CHI-CHI’S® Thick n’ Chunky Salsa.
  5. In greased 9”x13” pan spoon small amount of meat mixture onto bottom.
  6. Layer 2 tortillas, 1/2 beans, 1/2 meat mixture, 1 cup cheese. Repeat layers.
  7. Add remaining 2 tortillas, 1/2 cup CHI-CHI’S® Thick & Chunky Salsa and 1/2 cup cheese.
  8. Bake at 400°, covered with foil, for 35 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven, let cool 5 minutes.
  10. Garnish each piece with sour cream and shredded lettuce. Serve with chips.
